So this man (I sort of fancy) at work recently started working in the kitchen connected to the bar I work at. I havn't really talked to him much he started talking to me.
He started calling me shorty and little one (not sure he even knows my real name) he has done a few annoying things like flicked water in my eye and
told me to shut up (but in a jokey way) if I am communicate with other kitchen staff he often butts in, either to be delibrately annoying or just to answer
something I'm not even asking him. He often is looking at me and just smiling but I can't tell if he's doing it in a mean way.
I was taking this as him being just annoying but friendly, because he was nice to me when he asked how my hand was after I burnt it, and he asked me
how my weekend was once too.
However today he asked me if I was ok I was like yer Im fine thanks, but later on I was saying to my friend in the kitchen I felt dizzy, and the guy said
"thats because you're always moaning about things" I said "f-you" but in an obviously jokey way just as I have done before and he replied "no thanks"
I was really offended and annoyed! I asked him why he was being such an arsehole to me when I hadnt done anything to him and he seemed suprised
and said "who me? or him?" and I said "you, I havnt even done anything to you" then he said " I was just joking with you! cheer up jesus!" After that I ignored
him and he didn't try speaking to me again.
I'm really considering complaining about him to my manager before he gets employed to work as head chef because don't want to work with someone that mean.
However I'm conflicted because I told my friend about this situation and she said she thinks I should leave it because it sounds like he was just joking, my friend in
the kitchen at the time also thought he was just joking and trying to be friendly, however I think its very personal and I'ma very self-concious and paranoid person I
take it to heart,
