...happen if I dont clean it? Should I clean my throttle body on my 00 Dodge Durango 5.9 engine is dirty! What happen if I dont clean it? Is easy to do it by yourself? Some people told me you must remove the gas pedal cable is this true?
 
Just spray some carb cleaner, or a greaser if you don't want to remove the cable. Simple Green works good, but only use it on the outside of the throttle body. There is some purple stuff that they sell at auto part stores that works good too, but only on the outside. You don't want to get that stuff inside the engine.
