Should i cancel a camp out? Please read description before you answer.?

OK. So im in Boy scouts and im beginning to think its really retarded. It a boyscout camp-out. We are going to go to a cave in Illinois and go caving and then go fishing should i go to the camp-out or should i cancel it and hang out with my friends? let me know thanks
ive been with boyscouts for about 5 years but i recently switched over to a different troop and i dont know any bod that is going. Should i still go on the trip? thanks
 
I don't know your history with the Boy Scouts or if you've been camping with them before. It seems like you're knocking the idea of camping before even attempting it. If you have friends going along on the camping trip and you suddenly back out, you'll be abandoning them.

I say go on the trip, keep an open mind because you never know how this experience will turn out. What's the worst that can happen? You don't go on the next camping trip.
