my at the time boyfriend who was mad at me at the time, helped me move out of my apartment and place all my stuff into a storage unit. well, a couple months have passed, and things were getting better and i found myself driving with him in his truck and i notice that he has a stereo just like the one i had brand new in the box when i had moved. so, i questioned him about his new stereo saying "hey, thats just like mine where did you get it?" and, he tells me crutchfield. so, i sad no more. but, then after he dropped me off i text one of his friends and asked her about it and she said; "it is yours, he took it because he thought you owed him for everything he had done for you". ...IM SO PISSED!!! This guy took my $1029.00 pioneer avn1 stereo system brand new in the box which i hadnt even put in my car yet!! I then went to my storage unit and cleared it out and sure enough its gone. what should i do?? i really dont want the thing back because i just dont. its probably broke by now. i reather give him the receipt and say you owe me. i have a receipt and he says he has a receipt and he is still telling me its not mine. does anyone out there have some good advice on how i should handle this? thanks!
should i call the cops? or just take him to small claims court?
