I'm looking at a Suzuki C50 (2006) with 7000 miles. It's got all the bells and whistles I want so my question is will I be getting a healthy bike? It's for sale out of state and I'd have to buy it sight unseen - great photos and lots of them. But - I don't know how it was cared for. Its for sale from a dealer. The bike is no longer on warranty. Any ideas of how many more miles can I expect from it if I keep it well cared for?

Properly maintained, they can last a long time. However, the sight unseen would be a deal breaker for me.

7,000 miles is nothing. Some are in the 100,000 now, for the earlier model the Volusia.
How far away is the bike?
Do you have a friend in the area you trust?
Has the dealer given you any written statements as to condition?
Is it a bike that he has serviced on a regular basis?
Sight unseen, thats a tough one.

If you are buying from a dealer, they should be able to give you whatever pictures you want to see. They should also offer a warrenty, even if it is only for 30 days.
Your best bet has already been suggested. Have someone look at it for you.
