Should I buy this 1983 Dodge Ramcharger? Why/why not?

I'm 19 years old and it would be my first car and it is listed for $1300, I have a very limited knowledge of mechanics. Would someone with experience suggest this as a first vehicle? why or not? and what kind of problems should i expect? the main reasoni want it i suppose would be that i love mopar and classics so it caught my eye.
 
for 1300 seems high, first car i would look for a 'car' you would save money on gas in the long term. try going through craigslist, you will find many good deals on cars there.
