I own neither the the wii nor gamecube but I really want to play Zelda..... I could get a used GC and do the whole thing for about $100 when it comes out in two weeks, or I can buy the wii and blow $300+ to play the game within the next few days. the money is less important than which version will be more fun. i sincerely apologize if this has been done before but does anyone know exactly how the GC version is supposed to compare to the Wii version (game features, graphics, performance, etc.)? I have been trying all day to find out but no-one seems to know. also, for those of you who have played it with both the remote and the regular controller, is the former really that much more fun? one consideration is that i don't know whether I'll be able to use the wii remote due to arthritis in my elbow. anyway i been out of the gaming loop for a while so please help a dumb noob out

Maybe you could try out a Wii in a game store or something, just go up to the counter and ask them to try it out, since they have to give you the remote (or at least thats what I had to do) and see if your elbow bothers you.

you won't be moving your elbow unless you WANT to. 90% of the game you will be lightly flicking your wrists to use the sword etc. the remaining bits will be you using the pointer for aiming the bow and arrow, slingshot, grappling hook etc, which are all very sensitive. lastly, when i play fishing i use my whole arm because im a nerd and feel like getting into it, but you really only have to learn how to flick the remote forward to cast your line and then hold it back in order to pull a fish in - all of these moves can be done with a stationary arm.

the reality is that everyone has played ocarina and wind waker on the standard controller, and no one was complaining back then, and i expect twilight princess to be no different, although i'm sure the wii playing experience is far superior in comparison.

now playing wii sports... that's a different issue.

This was my main concern with the Wii, it looked cool, but I've got really weak joints due to hypermobility, and using them too much is extremely painful. So I ditched the Wii and got a 360. I'll probably get TP for GC when it comes out.
