Should I buy the MPX220?

I'm thinking about buying this phone because it has Microsoft Mobile, it's a clam shell and it's not to expensive.

My concern is that I've read that there have been lots of problems with this phone ranging from not being able to answer calls, people not being able to hear you and the camera isn't that great. I have also read reviews from people who did not have any of these problems and say it's a great phone.

I saw that there is an update for this phone at moto's site. Does that fix all of the problems? I've had lots of Moto's in the past and lately I haven't been very happy with the quality. My V600 was a piece of junk that got scratched to hell no matter what I did. I would hate to buy this phone and have the same thing happen.

I'm thinking of maybe buying a Nokia 6170 because it's cool looking flip phone and the quality is supposed to be good but it doesn't have windows mobile and doesn't support bluetooth.

Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks!

i think you should buy the mpx220, i bought mines last week mint unlocked and unbranded, i upgraded the rom to 1.49..i have no issues with it. i think its the cingular branded one with all the problems. my unbranded one didnt have any volume issue or speaker problem

this looks like a nice phone. i have no experience with windows mobile phones. if u had VZM i woulda told u to wait for the Q but since u don't, i think MPx220 is a good option for u

i'm looking at the phone as well. from what i've read, don't expect miracles with the camera; kinda junky for megapixel. Besides that, it's a computer phone.

But it is a Windows phone, so it's gonna be glitchy

I've actually never held an MPX220. Does it fit well in your pocket or does it feel like you've got a brick in there? I hate belt clips/holsters so a reasonable pocket fit is important. I have played with an MPX200 before and that was a good fit for me. This phone seems a little larger but not by much, is that correct?

The Mpx220 is a great phone. I use it as my Mp3 player. On the fly voice recorder is pretty sweet. Of course, as with all the smartphone functions, I upload all my tasks, to do lists, calendar etc

It is definately kind of big, coming from a Razr.
