I'm thinking of forking over the $300 dollars for this phone, should I? Is the main screen really crisp looking? what's the speakerphone like? Battery Life? Can it take falls to the ground well? And last but not least..the camera, picture quality etc.

well that depenRAB on what you want? Do you want a sharp phone that has everything you may need or want? I have to admit i got the Silver V3 and its the sex lol

I have had mine for 2 weeks now and am pretty happy with it. I have never dropped it so I don't know about housing durability, but the speaker phone an screen are very nice. I have noticed that when I use a picture from the camera for wallpaper, it turns out kinda pixilated. Overall, I am happy with the phone and have not had any "screen freeze" issues or anything yet. Also, the phone can't utilize picture caller I.D. yet, but I understand that a flash will be available sometime next month to fix this.

Get a Slider Remix.

It is incredibly versatile and very easy to set-up and use.

No problems with setting ringtones or pictures. No hoops. Just upload to your Transflash memory expansion card and assign at will. And I have head that you can get up to 1 GB Transflash carRAB to work.

Besides--soon, everyone will have a Razr and the appeal for it will no longer be there.

I purchased the Verizon Razr back in Deceraber, and returned it 2 weeks later. Bad phone! There may be changes between the VZW and Cricket Razr phones. Pros: Nice display, very lightweight, great looking phone.

Cons:
1. Poor signal retention. I dropped calls in places I never had a problem before. I assume the lack of an external antenna was a major problem.

2. Poor battery life. The battery in my 2-year old Kyocera lasted longer than the Razr. If you use this phone much, you'll need a spare battery or vehicle charger. It NEVER got through the day on one charge.

3, Speakerphone volume was too low in many locations. Lower than my old Kyocera or present 700w.

4. This was the real killer. The VZW Razr has exterior buttons to adjust the ringer volume, turn ringer off, etc. You must press a button on one side of the case before the ringer up/down/off can be activated. Well, I missed MANY calls on different occasions because the buttons had been triggered while the phone was in my pocket. Once can be a fluke. Several times = bad design. You CAN NOT lock these exterior buttons!

You want a sexy phone and don't care if it works? Buy the Razr.
You want a phone that works? Buy the Kyocera Xcursion.

i get great signal with my razr. just as good as the v262 i had before. maybe this is due to cricket's razr not having evdo so it gets better reception. while i have had problems in the past with other motorola's accidently turning the ringer off in my pocket, i have never had this problem with the razr. i've been carrying it in my pocket since i got it may 1. the buttons are stiff enough and nearly flush with the phone. i think the speakerphone is really loud, and howard just reviewed this phone on verizon (http://www.howardchui.com/modules.php?name=Sections&op=viewarticle&artid=250) and said the same thing. i guess your experience will very. i think the camera sucks. all moto's i have ever used have sucky cameras. 1.3 megapixels, but it is blurry if there is any motion.

the razr is not a features phone. it is a good looking phone. if you want features, take a look at the kyocer slider remix

I have had very good luck with my Razr. I love the form factor and the screen is huge. I have no problem with dropped calls. The speakerphone is excellent and I have no problems with volume like on some other Motorola phones.

The camera works about as expected. The default setting was very low quality. After changing that the high quality the pictures are decent if you have good lighting. Most camera phones take poor low light shots since there is no flash and the lense is not very fast.

I have the Motorola Phone Tools and transferring pictures and ringtones from my computer is very easy.

Did I mention the huge screen? :) It's great for text messaging.

The battery is not great but it's similar to most other motorolas that I have owned. It's also nice to be able to charge the phone from your computer using a standard USB cable.

This might be a little off topic, but is there an easy way to use a verizon Razor on cricket? What would I need in order to get it to work?

well my razr has been working fine had almost a month only thing i dont like about it is da speaker phone is loud but not enough 4 me

but its cool because i can send my own wallpapers, screen savers, ringtones to my phone from my email so thats cool

also i get free ringtones off mycricket.com right click/save target as so thats cool 2 =]

the camera is ok not da best but it will do i barely use my cam because i have a digital camera so doesnt bother me
