Should I buy fish from livefishdirect.com?

As with any purchase over the net, it would be buyer beware. I have had some good luck in orders but also I've been burned. So you are taking a chance. I prefer purchasing my fish from local pet store or private individual breeders where I can view the fish first. If you are looking for a particular or rare species, check out your local tropical fish society or club and then can steer you in the right direction. I probably would not order over the net unless I have dealt with them before.

Well i bought a nice fantail from an online store and the fish arrived fine and i havent had any problems. My reason for buying fish this way was coz it gave me more choise. Even the fish you buy from local petstore are ordered in this way. My local petstore gets his fish from america and i live in england!

No, you will have no idea of the health of the fish, the quality it has been living in and the state of the fish when it arrives, not to mention the way it has been transported. It is always best to buy any animal from a reliable shop so that you have full information on its background and that you are able to take it home.
Getting any animal over the internet is a bad idea!
