Should i buy an Xbox 360?

I am unsure if i should buy an xbox 360. My parents say i should save my money for a care( im almost 15), but i love gaming and think i should buy an xbox 360 with halo 3, and COD 4 and online. I have about $700 saved up, so i could get it right away. I come from a lower middle class family so my parents aren't going to buy me a brand new car at 16. What should i do,. Should i buy the xbox or save my money?
