Should I buy an 2006 Honda civic SI?

This would be my first car. I'm planing to buy it once I get back from Army basic training. I looked at 05 Civic ex but I liked the 06 SI so much better. I'm looking to spend 17,000 under 40 k miles. I also though of 06 rsx but they were to expensive the also the insurance for them would be higher. If I put an down payment of 5 k. Can i just pay monthly by say 200 dollars? After 3 years the Army paying me 7 K bonus money after taxes. I know I can pay of the car in about 3 or 4 years. Do any of you guys own an 06 SI? Have any tips on this car?
 
i myself have an 02 rsx type s i really love my car

its sporty fasttttt with 6 spd i dont pay that much for insurance suprisingly

i bought this car so i could race and trust me ive beaten the si

a couple of times

the rsx has more room to work on the motor

and is a nicer more rarerr car
 
Well most asians spend too much on cars and they don't have any money left once they spend 10K up on BMW, Mercades, Honda and so on. You want some money left over for other things like rent, utlities, bills, and investments.

I could of bought a brand new car, but then insurace will be very expensive for me when i buy a brand new car and even it's in the year 2000's, also don't forget when you might get into accidents that can be even worse. even though i spent most of my money on investments as my dad recommend me to do.

So if you got the money after when you buy the car and insurance then you will be fine. Remember 7k is not alot in your bank and not even close enough to live on your own.

The Honda SI has a great engine, the 2006. and 40k miles is pretty good if you can find under 17k. So go for it if you have the money left over once you spend on a car.
