Should I buy a stationary bike?

I have this thing where I feel guilty when I spend money.
I found a cute stationary bike at Target.com that is only $100.00
The link to it is: http://www.target.com/ME708-Marcy-Upright-Mag-Cycle/dp/B002KV383S/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&searchView=grid5&keywords=stationary%20bike&fromGsearch=true&sr=1-9&qid=1289436394&rh=&searchRank=target104545&id=ME708%20Marcy%20Upright%20Mag%20Cycle&node=1038576|1287991011&searchSize=30&searchPage=1&searchNodeID=1038576|1287991011&searchBinNameList=subjectbin%2Cprice%2Ctarget_com_primary_color-bin%2Ctarget_com_size-bin%2Ctarget_com_brand-bin&frombrowse=0

My parents think it is a waste of money, but I think it would be nice to have in the basement to use while I watch television. Since I am stressed out from school and work, I thought having an exercise routine would not only benefit my stress level, but help me get in a good routine so I don't get fat in my late 20's and 30's.

The reviews say that it is a good bike, but the seat is uncomfortable. I don't want to have a bruised ass every time I exercise. Do you think if I use the bike a lot my but will "get used" to the hard seat?

Also, since Christmas is coming up I was thinking of asking for it for Christmas so I don't have to spend money and feel guilty, but I do want to start working out now before the holidays before I lose motivation and gain the freshman 15!

Do you think this is a good investment, or should I just ask for it for Christmas?
Do you think Ebay is legitimate? I've never used it and am afraid of getting something that is broken...
