I thinking about getting a mac, I'd like some input, maybe some people who have experienced mac.

Well it really depends on what your looking for in a computer. I've owned a Mac my entire life and I personally think their amazing computers and well worth the extra price.
First off Mac's are very resistant to viruses and crashes. You could open a virus ladden email and have your mac work fine. It's the way the files are set up that allow it not to affect by viruses and the like. So if this is a family computer you don't have to worry about the kids letting your computer being eaten alive.
Secondly Mac's come with everything you need right out of the box, they provide you with the monitor, keyboard, mouse, and operating system right there. And they generally look really sexy, people will look in awe and say, "Is that a Mac?".
Mac's work great for almost anything you need. Art, Music, and photograpy are mac's strong points. Programs like iTunes, Garage Band, iPhoto, and Aperture are all mac programs that work great and are pretty much amazing. But if your more into crunching numbers PC is a good choice. But you can purchase Microsoft programs like Works, Powerpoint and Office for your mac. Plus Mac's have their own version of Office called iWorks.
But if your looking for it gaming wise, don't do it. Games don't usually come out for mac right away. Unless you just want to play StarCraft 2 and Spore, which will be amazing, Mac's don't really game much.
So to sum it up you have a sexy looking computer that hardly ever crashes or needs repair that can do whatever you need it to do and work right. I say get a mac dude.
