...add them myself? im wanting to buy a wrangler for everyday driver and off-road fun, but i don't know if i should buy one with "stuff" already installed like lift kit off-road tires or should i buy one without and add them myself? i don't want to spend more than $10,000 on the jeep itself
 
I never advocate buying something someone else modified, or modifying something if you don't have the skills

on a Jeep, adding the lift and big tires, and driving down fire trails shortens the time until "death wobble" sets in ....

I think you should buy a used F-150, and a 125-250cc trail bike.....
 
you plan to spend 10K and then off road ,,, just buy the correct size tires and leave the computer on-board working correctly ... the I-6 only gets about 14/15 MPG's and when you add fat tires it is going down vand your costs are going UP....
