T The Legend New member Jun 24, 2009 #2 It's very common for the TPS to fail. Their cheap and easy to fix. Mine went bad when my Jeep was only 2 years old. I got a replacement one for around $40.

S Snowman New member Jun 24, 2009 #3 Have him first before payment replace the "throttle postion sensor" and test drive the car to see if the brakes are ok, and other related problems.
