Should I buy a 2001 toyota corolla?

I know to properly answer this question I would need to provide many details, but lets say the car is in great shape, no mechanical problems and has a clean title with no accident history. My only concern is that, regardless of anything, buying a 9-10 year old car is a bad idea. Also, the mileage on the one I am looking at is 76000.

I agree with n. I have a '95 S10 V6 with 150,000 miles on it. The engine and transmission have never been worked on. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it across the country tomorrow. High mileage doesn't mean the car's gonna crap out on you next week. Besides, Toyotas are supposed to last a million miles.
