Should I buy a 1999 Mazda Miata or a 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sport?

I have saved up to buy a car, and these two are by far my favorites and I can't pick! The Miata is a true sports car with rwd and everything, but the Wrangler is a beast! I like the Miata because my family has never owned a sports car (I'm 16, this is my first car). But I also like the Jeep because it is rugged and I can take it on dirt roads, plus it has back seats to take friends on joy rides! I know for a fact that Wranglers are very fun, but the Miata... uhhh... please help me choose and give me reasons! Don't just tell me to pick one.
 
....The cops hate those miatas and you will be a target for tickets.... on the other hand the Jeep never seems to be a ""cop"" concern and the insurance is cheaper for the Jeep.. you pick...
