Should I bring my iPod and money to camp? Will they get confiscated?

On the last part of the note for What NOT to Bring, it says Please DO NOT bring any money, valuables or electronic games and devices as these will be confiscated.

I believe the information provided is not valid as we signed no written agreement that we would not bring of the items listed. The only agreements signed were permission to go to the camp and receive medical treatment in emergencies. So if they see me with money or my iPod do the teachers have any right to confiscate them? I'm in Sydney, Australia if that helps and school rules don't apply to the camp.
 
Why would they forbid you to bring those things? What kind of camp are you going to?

Wile they can confiscate them (except for the money, they can't just take someone's money), how many kids do you think will follow that rule?

I would take my iPod and my money and just try not to get caught. lol
