Should I believe the bad reviews about my future university?

Where is this university? Dorms generally suck wherever you go. My daughter had a dorm in a major university in the Big 12 Conference. The clothes rod in the closet was nine feet tall--she is only five feet four. Dorm life is not about accomodations but friendship. The food tasted great for about a week. Then it got boring.
Don't worry about low achieving rednecks. Let them worry about you.

College is about the friends you make and what you do with what you learn.
 
I went online and went on many different sites. It has good reviews but way more negative ones. They say things such as a bunch of low-achieving rednecks go there, the dorms are AWFUL, and some of the teachers are lacking. I also heard most of the students go home on weekends, even the ones living on campus. Should I just cancel my acceptance? It is 4 hours away and I'm not sure it's worth it.
and the fact that the football team got removed turns me off.
if i go there im staying there all 4 years; transferring isn't an option.
