should i allow my mom to dictate and tell me when and what to do?

I am 28 years old female single. No siblings. Dad passed away 10 years ago. Its me and my mom only in the family. She is 60 years old.. we always argue a lot. She tells me to wash the dishes, clean the house and is never happy. Is she still entitled to tell me what to do and when to do it? Rent is expensive and she can't afford to live on her own.
