should i accept financial support from an abuser?

i was supposed to study abroad, but basically under the financial support of this one person who's been abusive to me in the past. and i had everything planned out, got accepted into the school and everything, but now i'm having second thoughts because i want to be independent and not under the financial control of this person. even though i wanted to go, should i quit everything, and just go somewhere else, or should i accept this support even though it's from this type of person?
 
Yes, take the money and run. Never let that person abuse you again just because. You are strong and you need that to better yourself and your future. I would.
