should education and health care be free for all us citizens?

no they shouldn't because whenever the government gets control of something they always run it right into the ground. Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, Education, and pretty much the US in general

nothing is free. Somebody pays for it. Public education is payed for through tax dollars. If you have children that attend these "free" schools you will know that there is more involved than basic funding. Many of the schools are requiring students to provide basic needs of the schools. This is causing even more expense on the "free" systems.

Nope, we should earn what we get...no more hand outs...government is fraught with fraud and waste and don't run anything well...get them out of it and let us get back our own money and buy what we can afford...the government is bankrupting this nation and we are watching on the sidelines while they do it...Americans need to get off their over sized behinds and work for what they get.

Nothing in society is free; it's all paid for with your tax dollars. But in the naive sense, education is already free.

Education should be free because having a common base of knowledge helps form a strong society. Free health care does not provide the same good to society. We all need to agree that 2 plus 2 equals 4 but we do not need to all agree that drinking soda is bad for you and should be banned.
