Should deviations in a persons sexuality be treated as a personality disorder?

I know we live in an age of liberation where homosexuals and cross dressers can roam freely, but in the olden days people with these deviations where labelled as having disorders. I'm not a homophobe I dont have anything against homosexuals, but I do think that homosexuality is not natural, a person is not born homosexual, and a person does not become a homosexual if they are raised in a home with a loving mother and father. And I know this is quite a generalization but studies have shown that homosexual males generally describe their relationship to their father as terrible or hateful, so we must assume that a person's relationship to the person's parents must have some influence on the persons sexuality.

So if we can agree that a homosexual has suffered some neglect from one of their parents that have in some way moulded them into this unnatural sexuality. Shouldnt we follow the idea of psychotheraphy, and actively try to help these poor people who suffer from these deviations?

Of course I acknowledge that some homosexuals will dismiss this as a personality disorder and claim that they don't want to be hetero, but if their sexuality is rooted in neglect, and traumas regarding one of their parents, then wouldn't it increase their living potentials by taking care of these unresolved childhood problems?
