should convicted sex offenders' names be made public?

I had always thought that this should be made law...but honestly how many people out there would care? but then again, there is people who have NO internet access to the sex offender website. Ya know? anyone have any strong opinions about this? If so, how? I wonder this alot but can't ever understand.

Yes, due to the fact that sex offenders are in the highest group of repeat offenders, particularly the ones who go after kids.
I'm for castration of all sex offenders. If it's illegal for an ex-con who robbed convenience stores to have a gun, why is it legal for a serial rapist to keep his 'weapon'?

It is public. If they don't have internet access, all they have to do is contact their local law enforcement agency. They have the list.

Yes, they should be made public along with photos and people do care.

Yes, the names should be posted. But, I don't think the offenders should have to walk around with a big sign around their neck.
