Had he not signed the Emancipation Proclamation, then slaves would have never been freed (or at least it would have taken more time before they actually were). With the freedom of slaves postponed, the amount of African Americans to enter the league as well the the individuals to actually make it there would have been heavily effected due to the chain effect on their family tree.
With the course of history altered, it is possible that Holmes, or any other african americans on the Steelers team would not have been in the Super Bowl, and the Cardinals could have Possibly won (I also wouldn't be here typing this question).
Shouldn't they blame Lincoln, or John Wilkes Booth for not getting to him earlier?
