The answer is clearly no. But you said it yourself, they want a better life, but it is still not sufficient to justify what they are doing. That is why you call them "illegal" for they violate the law. They know the repercussions of their actions, but they have to do it for a better life for their family. You call them pathetic, probably because they might not be enjoying the luxuries that you enjoy, but i call them noble, for their cause is for the greater good of their family. I do not intend to glorify their actions, for i know that it is wrong but i also have to accept the fact that if i were in their shoes, i would have done the same. It is human instinct.
If i may ask you this as an analogy, did you ever give a justification on the acts of America, going to war in Iraq based on suspicion that there were WMDs? Justify to me the loss of thousands of American lives on a war based on suspicion. (A lot of these men are of Mexican descent) Justify to me the death of thousands of Iraqi civilians based on suspicion.
