Should all prisons and jails be shut down?

If you shut down all the jails and prisons there will be more criminals than police, and we will enter into the same predicament as a third world country. The laws will get discarded and there will be chaos. It would however separate the wheat from the chaff. And then maybe we will become a dictatorship when one of those criminals pop up in the white house. Of course its not like the government is exactly free of criminals Lol.

Would you want to live next door to a murderer or a rapist. I know I don't. You need to check in with reality sometime.

Challenges are good for mankind. Why do we always try to insulate ourselves from brute realities? We need to grow up and deal squarely with life, no?

I would much rather a lot of those folks just stay in prison than on the bad end of a firearm. Especially if it is my fire arm.
