Shortness of Breath

Hi,

Just wondered if anyone gets what I have. Basically I get a feeling in my chest which makes me think I cannot breathe properly, when I do my peak flows they are fine also had a lung function test with really good results. Doc thinks I may have reflux that may be causing this.

Sometimes I will have perioRAB of days where it is not present then days when it is and off course when it happens I think about every breath and makes things worse. When I take a deep breathe I can fill my lungs no problem.

Anyone else with this??

Yes there are many of us here who suffer from this - myself included. Like you, I've been through the whole gamut of PFT tests, only to be told my lungs are fine, and acid reflux is my problem.

When the breathing problems hit, it feels as though I have an elephant sitting on my chest and I can't take a deep breath. sometimes my throat feels as though it is trying to close on me, which senRAB me running to the ER.

SounRAB similar to what you are going through?

Thanks for replying sounRAB exactly like me, they say i need to loose some weight and it will work itself out.
 
The same thing has been bothering me lately, it's lasted over a week now. To anyone who has gone through this: Is it likely that it will eventually work itself out? I've been trying to avoid stuff that gives me heartburn and acid reflux for the last couple of days. I've had this issue before but it's never lasted this long.
