shortness of breath and tired

Although I know I am severely overweight with health issues I have been for the last 9 months very out of breath even walking. I had a stress test 3 months ago and everything was fine.

I am on so much medication I am starting to think that has a big impact on me. I began insulin therapy in June and there is nothing in the counterindications that suggest that might do it. I have diabetes, HBP, cholesterol (I am on zetia) heart palps (take sotalol) and I take thryroid med as it was removed years ago. The thryoid has also been checked within the last 6 months and is fine.

Any advice would be helpful. I am starting a physical therapy program which should begin to help me with the weight problem. But that is not new so therefore I should not be feeling these changes.

My age is 73 female.

When the body is consuming more calories, especially carbohydrates, than it can handle, the extra calories cause all kinds of nasty Metabolic Imbalances within the body that can, very slowly do harm to all organs, glands, bones, nerves, muscles, etc.

In my humble non-professional opinion, your breathing problems could be caused, in part, by a Metabolic Dysfunction, caused by your diet.

That is why doctors and the medical industry and just about everyone in this world is advocating a healthier diet for all of us, but very few of us are listening. Why listen, or go on a much healthier diet, when the damage inside our bodies, from an unhealthy diet, is so very slow in happening, and Eating is just too darn enjoyable! :D

I hope that you find healthy solutions to all of your problems!

Take care...... be well, and have a healthy and rewarding 2010!
