Exaggerate what you know.

If you're late for 1st period one morning, and have to suffer consequences, imagine being in boot camp, also arriving late to some event.
If you're swamped with homework one day, imagine what it would be like to be a single mother with 3 kids, having to work 3 jobs, never getting any support from your husband or friends...
If you're feuding with a best friend, imagine if you were the king of one country battling with the king of another.

Just make something up and see where it takes you!

A good way to come up with conflicts and story ideas is to read the news with a "what if" mindset

"Man sells life on eBay after divorce"
What if someone bought his entire life and then married his ex wife?

"Man born without legs uses camera to turn tables on gawkers"
What if everyone was born without legs? How would a man without legs find love?

"Man reunited with stolen Mustang after 38 years"
What if he had hidden a treasure inside of it, thinking it was lost and it was now returned?

It's so easy to find conflict in the real world, and then imagine a story off of it :-D Best of luck!

You could have conflicts between a parent and child (think of a time you disagreed with your parents, for example), between friends (over a boy or a job, etc.), or an inner conflict where someone is struggling with a moral question: like, she knows her friend cheated on a test or stole something: should she turn her in? Things like that.
