So, I'm 5'7 a 9th grader (junior high...=\) I made the basketball team last year, and i want to play college ball once i get to college. If i grew to say, 5'10 would i still not stand a chance of getting scouted by a division 1 school? I think im pretty good and I practice every day, but if being short is going to be such a big issue, I don't know weather I should get my hopes up.

There were a lot of small players that were good in the NBA like Spudd Webb, Allen Iverson, and well you know but I think height has nothing to do with it as long as you're good.

Does the name Muggsy Bogues ring a bell to you? How bout Spud Webb?

What do these guys have in common? They were both short and went to bigtime colleges

Muggsy Bogues(5'3", went to Wake Forest)
Spud Webb(5'7", went to N.C. State)

My point is.....As long as you have the talent, it doesn't matter how tall you are.

"I think im pretty good "
You don't need to think you are pretty good, you need to know you are damn good especially if you aspire to play at a D1 school. Height could be an issue, but if you are skilled enough that can be over looked at least a little. Unless you know you are amazing, you should never get your hopes up. Unless you have the will and the drive to prove you are an excellent Gaurd you should try out for a D2/D3 school.
