Short braid hairstyle that's cute through a camping weekend.?

I have shortish naturally super curly hair that I've been trying to grow out for awhile, and I've been straightening it every day to get through the awkward 'too long to be cute, too short to be pretty' stage. This weekend however, I'm heading to a cabin with a couple of friends and there's no hot water, so showering is out of the question. I'm looking for a cute hairstyle that I can braid back part or all of my hair and so it will last through the weekend. I can french braid, but when I try doing one or two french braids it just doesn't turn out very cute. Pictures are a plus.

It might help to mention that I have caucasian hair, haha.
