shocking pain in head

So I got my tongue pierced4 years ago but from time to time I get sudden pain in my head, like shocks, Im wondering if the piercing could be the cause.. I never had any problems or infections with it, i use mouth wash, and I have asked some friends and they say sometimes they get a shocking feeling from the temples of their head too.
Does anyone have any knowledge as to how you know if you should be concerned with a tongue piercing. I have read some stories but they all happened soon after the people got the piercing.
Is there anyway you can get a brain scan if you feel a shocking feeling in your temples and forhead area?
it doesnt hurt that much at all and only lasts a few seconds at a time. its annoying and kinda scaring me.
 
I can't imagine it having anything to do with the tongue piercing unless there's infection present. I'm wondering if you are currently on an antidepressant--or any drug that might affect the central nervous system. Beginning antidepressant therapy or stopping it suddenly can cause 'brain shocks' that are very uncomfortable. You might talk with your pharmacist and see if any of your current medications may be causing this problem.

Wow, good advise. I just stopped taking affexer not too long ago. I slowly stopped taking it but I can imagine it might have something to do with it iif it effects your central nervous system like you mentioned. Thanx for much.
 
I also read that you can get a disease that causes shock like pain in your head and face if you get your tongue peirced.
Does anyone know how you could tell if it was the piercing causing it? And if something is to happen wouldn't it have happened right after I got the piercing?
Can you have problems with it if its healed properly?
