Shit

Ok, yesterday I donated blood. Last night I wasn't feeling great. Today I feel worse. I have a headache and nausea, but no fever. There could be two reasons I feel shitty. 1) Donating blood made me feel shitty. Or 2) I'm dehydrated from the heat today. I'm not sure which one it is because I've been inside in the ac all day, but who knows. I don't know wether to be worried or not, I just feel like shit and want to crawl into a hole.

Well-I'd say it acctually could be a bit of both. I'd say drink alot of water and get rest. If it isn't better by tomarrow-then I think you should call your doctor and ask him about it. That's what I'd do.

MABY IF YOU GET SICK AND YOU CAN'T PRODUCE ANY BLOOD ANYMORE, YOU CAN GET YOUR OWN BLOOD BACK!!! Or you can ignore that last statment, take some asprin, drink lots of fluids, and if you don't get better, you should look to see if anyone else has had similar symptoms online, and get some insight

Wait untill tomorow. Then if it doesn't feel better, wait another day. Then maybe see a doctor. Eat oranges too. They somehow help. And Asprin to thin the blood.

How much does blood sell for these days?

First off... well done for giving blood. I've got my next session at the end of this month!

As long as you answered truthfully to the questions before you donated you should be fine!

If in doubt call the doctor.... or run away and cry to your mum

I love giving blood! It makes me feel good because I feel like I've helped someone, especially because our blood center is always low on blood. The last time I did it, though, I passed out in my school's cafeteria and apparently had a seizure or something. That's what a few of my friends said, at least. All I remember is feeling really dizzy and nauseated and it was really hot and stuff.. then the next thing I know I'm looking up at the ceiling. Just make sure people are around you so that if you pass out, you don't hit your head on a hard floor like I did. :)

And drink lots of fluids, your body needs water not only because you donated blood, but because it's hot.

Well, I feel better today. The blood center called me back and basically said that they'd just test my blood really well and that I should be fine since I was feeling better. I've been drinking a lot of water today and last night so that I don't feel bad again. And LOM, they don't pay. It's called DONATING blood, not selling blood. You can sell plasma every two weeks though.

My school had a blood drive this year. Well they do every year but I was finally old enough to participate.

Gave my blood, got up, felt fine. Took 5 steps toward the rest area they had set up for us, and I suddenly started feeling extremely warm, lightheaded and was getting rapid tunnel vision. Then I passed out rofl.

I guess I was only out for a couple minutes, I don't know, it was crazy.

I just got a notice from the red cross today that they're severely short of blood; like down to a 1 day supply for several types, here in california. I've recently given or i'd go give again, but i encourage anyone who can to go donate. It's amazing to think of the lives you can save just by donating your renewable body parts.

The red Cross is always hurting for blood (O types being a major one). Due to restrictions on donating for overseas travelers (mad cow, bird flu, and other nasties...) it has put and even greated cramp in the supply. When I do not have fresh Tatts I give (have new ones now). I think I am almost up to 2 gallons maybe more...

It is easy. It is quick. You never know when you may have to depend on someone elses blood to keep you alive...

Mags, I hear a nice booty call will make any pain go away. :naughty:

But seriously, the only advice I can give is drink some OJ, eat some cookies, and try to rest a lot.
