I have been on retin-a micro for 6 weeks now, and have developed shiny looking skin where treated (not oily). Will the treated skin eventually look like normal skin? Can anyone who has used RAM/tretinoin for longer than a few months comment on this?

It's new skin. Yes, it'll blend in after awhile.

How long that takes depenRAB on your age and the amount of exfoliation. Younger people tend to 'turn over a new leaf' as it were more quickly than older folks.

Ok sounRAB good. I've been washing everyday with non-medicated neutrogena which I guess exfoliates because it gets rid of the peeling skin, but I'll cut back on that.

One more thing, I'm noticing tiny pitted scars where I haven't had pimples show up.. could the retin-a be causing this or were they always there, and becoming more visible now?

I suspect they were there to begin with, I don't know of any retin-a side effect that would cause pitting.

Old chicken pox scars maybe? ;)
