Shingles

Hi, I was diagnosed with shingles last March. It started in my scalp and travelled down to my forehead and it got into my right eye.
I have been treated by an eye specialist and have been using drops, currently am using Maxidex drops and it seems to be helping.
Whilst on holidays last July I even tried acupuncture, it helped a bit. At one time my eye pressure was up to 47 which is very high, I was prescibed medication for this and it droped back to normal.
I still have only about 60% vision in my right eye and my forehead is still irritating, like someone moving a feather over my skin.
Any help from anyone! who has had a :(similar dose of shingles and how long does it last.
Thanks,
Jim Heff.

a friend of mine had shingles in her forehead and right above her eye. She has been suffering for almost two years now. Her dermatologist injected botox into her forehead. She said it was the first relief from a headache she has had.

Several years ago my aunt had shingles on her head, forehead and nose. At that time the doctor told us that if the shingles got into the eye she would lose all vision in that eye. You are fortunate that today there are medicines to help prevent the loss of vision. I also had shingles many years ago on my neck and chest area. To this day this area is still sensitive to touch. It doesn't hurt -- just much more sensitive. Best wishes to your in your recovery.
