:confused:My friend has the virus and the nerve path goes from his spine around his leftside to his center chest. He has noticed,me to, that a new path is starting on his right side. Q-is it true if the path meets you will die? Sounds stupid but ask old people that and they tell you its true.We know someone that had this problem and they became very sick/almost died-it licked a few inches from meeting.

It's a myth. I heard that too growing up and when I got shingles, asked my doc...he said NO.

And I even asked an infectious diseases specialist just recently.....she said ...NO.

It might hurt a lot and you might feel like you're dying but you aren't. It's just the chicken pox virus invading a nerve.

You may feel like you are dying because shingles are extremely painful. Having a virus infect the nerve pathways can be excursiating at best.

We just had one of our guys here get it on his face. It crept in through a root canal on his eye tooth. He was out for two weeks and the docs managed to save the vision in his right eye. Nasty stuff!
