I hit my shin really bad about a week ago and the ER people said that i would not be able to walk if i had fractured it. I don't know weather that is true or not but i don't think they realize just how hard i hit it. I slipped on water in my kitchen and hit the open door of my dishwasher. Well, it hurt for like 4 days and now it does not really hurt to walk on it but ever since 2 days after this i had this spot on the inside of my ankle where it will not stop itching and is swollen and then tonight i looked down at it all and now below my ankle my foot is turning blue (a spot about the size of two quarters) Could my shin be fractured and i am still just walking around on it? Could the blueish color and itching be symptoms of an infection and it is showing lower in my leg like that?
I am sure my ER bill is going to be $200 even though they just wrapped it with an ace bandage and told me to quit trippin so i don't wanna do that again unless it is possible that there could be further unseen injury.
