i have a 250 and with bikes this size there is supposed to be alot of shifting to keep in a range of power. how different is shifting on bikes like the cbr 600rr. im usually in third when cruising at 35 and switch to fourth at 40 or above. and i have to down shift alot. at what speeds would you say your in what gear. and off the subject im wondering if i would be okay on a 600 considering the extra power. im a safe driver and would take it easy and get used to it but some people around me are saying 600's are to dangerous and im not experienced. ive got 1000 miles on my 250 and a few hundred on another. ive heard of people starting on 600's and ive heard in some ways there safer because they are better balanced with tweight and have steering dampers. also ive heard the wide tires i back give better traction and thats one place where i feel my ninja could be improved. i feel like the back tires going to slip out when i go around turns sometimes.
