She turned me down, and now she talks to me more than ever?

Okay, I asked a question earlier that's similar to this... I'll give a brief over view. [We're in high school, senior year] We've known each other for two years [her name is Jackie], I began to like her a year ago. I finally told her after we had a 5 hour conversation one night after the state championship basketball game that we both went to [since our school was in it]. After I told her I liked her, she told me she only wanted to be friends. A few hours later she invited me over her house sometime, but just as friends... And now, honest to god, she's talking to me more. Like normally I used to have to start a conversation with her, now she starts them. I'd say something, assuming the conversation would end with it [in a text convo, like saying something like "yeah" or "Kay" but now she responds to those with things that change the subject and keep the conversation alive [something she used to never do]. I don't get it. Is she just trying to be nice? Because i appreciate that, but doesn't she know it just hurts? Like when she says something flirty [now understand, we have a very childish flirty. like
"oh you're bringing brownies?"
"yeah, I'm gonna share them with everyone in the class...Except you haha nah, just playin"
"Yeah you better be!! haha"

but she's even still flirting like that, and I wanna still be friends... But... Have any of you ever heard the song "There is" By Boxcar Racer. That's how I feel. Like it hurts because I know she doesn't like me, she straight up told me she only wants to be friends. And now she just sorta pretends that we never had that conversation and talks to me more. I don't understand...

i think she's changing her mind about what she said, and she's a little uncomfortable to tell you that, so she's just SHOWING u that, instead of telling u that. if i were you i would ask her what's up.....
