She curls in a corner and whimpers in her sleep.. A life of neglect haunts her...

...dreams...? My dog is from a shelter and before that she was abused and neglected. Anyways, she loves being outside! When she is outside she opens up and loves on you. But when you open the back door for her to come in, she shies away and starts to cry. You cant pull her in the house without her yelping in pain form the leash on her neck. I usually need to catch her and then just pick her up and carry her through the door. Then, when she is in the house she finds a corner and sits there all scared.

She was adopted with her sister and they both live with me. But her sister loves the house! She runs around and doesnt care about the back door. But even her fun personality doesnt effect the shacking body of the little puppy in the corner. HELP!!!!
 
Sounds like it. Spoil her and take her on walks. She just needs time to forget about it and the only way for that to happen is if she has a new and better home life.
 
You need to desensitize her, retrain her so she knows that inside is an OK place to be.

It's not going to be easy and it will take a while, but be patient and calm and slowly you'll be able to teach her that it's OK for her to be inside.

But iv dealt with dogs like this and there is one thing they need: time
If your dog loves outside its probably because all the neglect and abuse was inside the house at her last home.
So you can either compromise and put a warm comfy dog house outside for her and then slowly put it inside the house inside

But what I did with my dog is I put the house inside (I live in harsh climate) facing the window to my backyard

But when i lived in sunny climates when it was time to come it? I either fed her, gave her treats, or stood in the door way with a toy.

Remember when dealing with a dog like this yelling or frowning will get you no were be the kindest person you can be, and if your at your last straw take a deep breath and realize what you're doing to this dog, is helping and changing their life! Good luck(:
