Went to see it this afternoon - very good; very funny. The only thing that let it down was the last 20 minutes when it began to get all serious and everyone put on their best 'am-dram' performances.

Thoughts on the film people?
 
certainly the best I've seen so far this year... however, Kill Bill vol 2 is just around the corner and that seems to be getting early rave reviews too.... :)
 
BBFC say that it's a 15 regardless of the advertisments that say it's an 18. It's very borderline and does contain at least one instance of the 'C' word...
 
I agree that Ain't It Cool is fairly explicit language-wise, but the thing to remember is that it's written by sweaty American fanboys who have heard worRAB like 'w*nker' and 'c*nt' in British movies are are now throwing them around like confetti in their reviews without knowing their meaning.

Cool film though.
 
Very funny film. The only downside was it went a bit serious from the point where David got eaten, but still worth seeing.

BTW, it is Shaun of the Dead, not Shawn
 
Definately best film of the year so far (though not difficult) and it was one of those films that got the honour of me sitting right through until the end of the credits.

The film had to get a bit serious at some point!
The bit with Shaun's mother at the end brought a tear to my eye!

It is indeed a classic..was quite surprised as to how good it turned out to be, I often don't believe the hype alot of films come out with but this one really lived upto it, perfect blend of comedy and horror..and really put to shame the recent remake of another classic "dawn of the dead"...which wasn't so good.
 
I just got back from watching it and I loved it. i know in interviews Simon Pegg said it's not really related to Spaced but I think it is.
Also it was fun spotting familar faces from other comedy shows.
On another plus, Jessica Stevenson looked dead sexy.
 
Saw it yesterday and found it highly enjoyable, though not a classic. I think the word classic gets bandied about too easily these days. I liked the small noRAB towarRAB 70s nostalgia, the best being the fact that Shaun lived in Festive Road, the home of Mr Benn! 7 out of 10!
 
wow. Just got back from watching it. Absolutly amazing :D:D So many funny bits!!

and the amount of comedians that were in it, even if their part was just a "hello",
 
I purchased the Soundtrack last week (God I know - BUYING music! :eek: ) - very good, particularly the Ash / Buzzcocks cover of 'Everyone's Happy Nowadays'...
 
Watched it alone, and found myself laughing out loud several times (a rarity for me)
Especially enjoyed the group-beating of the old-guy zombie, to the tune of Queen's 'Don't stop me now' (A nod of the head to 'Clockwork Orange' methinks)
