i was changing my primary fluid and when i pulled the drain plug i noticed a small amount of shavings on the magnet, its a 06 roadking with 5200 miles, bought the bike used with 1800 miles. iv changed the oil at 2500 miles and just changed everything over to royal purple synthetic today. my question is, the shavings on the primary plug normal?...thanks in advance

As long as only primary with some black greasy stuff it's normal unless some small splinter material you might have some issues. As for as motor and transmission it should be almost nothing after first or 2nd oil change.

Normal, especially on a new bike, but you shouldn't see anything but very small shavings. You'll likely also see metalic particles floating around in the primary oil. I would recommend not using RP or any other high-tech oil in the primary, as it is very slick and may not be ideal for clutch operation. A cheap fossil engine oil (10w40 or 20w50) or ATF is a better option, IMO. The RP is fine for the engine, of course, and their gear oil is also very good for the tranny.
