I cannot hear audio from my Sharp TV to my Sony Blu Ray Surround using optical cord.The television is connected to a cable box using standard high def cables for video and tradional (red/white) audio.
The tv is then connected to the blu ray surround with an hdmi and optical audio.
I would like to use the regular (red/white) audio inputs for my CD player not the TV if possible.
The surround works great on the blu ray, just not outputting the tv audio.
The TV has 6 HD components.
Sorry I am wiped after connecting the new system and my brain is fried!

I actually just needed to go into the input settings on the blu ray play and select the TV input! lol
