Sharp pain on back of head?

I've been having sharp pain in the back of my head on the right side. It almost feels like someone is stabbing me with a I dont know...a knitting needle? It just hurts. I tried taking advil but the pain comes back.
Also, I've been getting nose bleeds during the night...could this relate to my head problem? What could be causing this head pain?
I'm 19 years old.
