sharp pain in my uterus?

i know i keep posting things about my pregnancy lol but am a very unsure woman lol am 8 days overdue ( oh the joy ) and the only contraction like pain ive had is the pain ive had throughout my pregnancy which is the sharp shotting / stabbing pain in my uterus , i do get the period pain feeling but its always once of twice and goes away for days .. but the sharp pain keeps coming back every day and sometimes it feels worse that before , also when this happens the baby moves or tightens alittle .. i know am not in labor but am i in early stages or am i just over thinking it? .. my mucus plug is coming out gradualy but its not finished yet as i havent had my show ? am not worried so i dont need to phone my midwife and my mum doesnt have a clue because she was induced and was in labor for a whole 20 mins so shes usless ? anyone wanna have a stab at what this is ?
