Sharing text files

I have arround 300,000 text files on various subjects, including UFO, Aliens, Magic, Roswell, JFK etc..

I think they may be of interest to some people and I am willing to share them on the gnuttela network, but all the files names are just "MYS00002", "MYS00003" etc... I dont fancy having to rewrite all the file names to make them searchable, is there anything I can do??

Do any of the Gnuttella clients allow internal file searching or are they all based on the file names only.....

Or am I the only one who has come accross this problem???

Please help... or advise

Thanks

No, none of the Gnuttella clients allow internal file searching. Some include the folder name in the search, but other don't. I just had to rename my files, but I only about 2,000.

1. You could rename all of them.

2. Or you could share one file that indexes all of them. You must have a text file or a database file so that you can tell what they are all right? Well then share that file. Put a note at the top telling people that you are sharing all the files listed there just search for their MYS0000x name. Make sure that main file has a good name and then some key words at the end so it comes up on searches, for example: "300,000 text files on various subjects (MYS00000 ebooks SciFi Fantasy UFO Aliens Magic)." I would be sure to include "300,000, MYS00000, and ebooks" in the name. You could also try a couple of different names till you found one that people could find and download. But it should work fine that way and same you a lot of time renaming.

Hope this helps.
