You didn't state which Palm you have but, if you have a TX or LifeDrive, then there is WiFile LT, a program on your Essential CD that came with your Palm. It may also be available on other dvices as well.

There is a program called CardExport 2 which will let your Palm's SD card appear as a removable disk drive on your PC. With this program, you can copy and paste files to and from the SD card. Unfortunately, you are unable to browse the internal memory of your Palm. However, it is a non-issue for me. I store my documents on the SD card and only have the program files on the internal memory. If the battery gets too low, which it never has, the documents are safe on the SD card.

I don't have a TX, so I am unable to verify how well CardExport 2 works on that particular device. I know it works great on my T3. I have actually been able to connect to a SUSE Linux desktop with this program. Here is a link to the program's home page:

thanks for your advice, I see the page and find other software that seems to do exactly what can I do, it is the "bluetooth commander" anyone have try it?

if the battery is out of power, does the documents on the internal memory goes bye bye???
I plannig to buy a T5 (256 MB internal memory), and I'm not consideing a SD card soon....

I use CardExport 2 on my TX at work using my cradle. Never thought of using it with bluetooth though. It works fine, but depending on the size of the file I think the transfer might be slow due to the nature of bluetooth.

I have a T|X. WiFi and Bluetooth. No encryption turned on and I only tried for about 10 minutes but, I couldn't get WiFile to work. Does it function correct and should I reinstall it and give it a good try?

Thanks.....

Yes, I have used it without any Security settings (encryption) deliberately to demonstrate to my argumentative son just how easy is is to hack an unsuspecting users network from the car (War Driving) so he would understand my seemingly obsessive ranting about the need for network security.

On your PC you will need to enable file sharing. A default folder is setup by default when feature is enabled so you may have to manually enable sharing on specific folders.

Once that is set up you need to scann the network in WiFile to locate the WorkGroups available, then select the workgroup your PC is in. That should then display all PCs in the workgroup that are advertising. Simply select the PC you want to access. That should do it.

Cheers,
John
