SharÃ*a law - A question for people who support it...?

Was MusIims' outrage following France's ban on hÃ*jab (and all other reIigious symbols in public buildings) justified? Why?

Do you think MusIims were right to protest? I mean, why is it wrong to force MusIims to abide by such laws when it is acceptable for MusIims to force lslamic laws on those (MusIim or not) who don't wish to follow it*?

(*As long as they don't harm others. Which is basically what secuIar law is for)

Thanks.

It's a double standard.

I have heard and read of many Muslims calling democracy--"democrazy." It is incompatible with shariah law and not the true "way" of Allah.

They believe that if you live in a Muslim country (nevermind that you have no choice about your place of birth) you have to abide by their religious laws...even if you do not believe in that particular religion.

And YET...in "secular," democratic nations...God-forbid you make a movie like "Fitnah" or publish a cartoon about Muhammad or write a book about the satanic verses! And YET...Muslims get angry when their rights are violated when they cannot teach anti-semitism in Islamic schools in the West, and when they cannot wear abayas or hijabs or whatever. And YET...they want the right to protest against the VERY governments they call "democrazy."

Ha ha ha.

Many Muslims do not support Sharia Law.

Government is corrupt.

I believe we have freedom of religion and the right to exercise our faith as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else.

Most Muslims don't support Sharia Law, but say that the citizens have a personal responsibility to be a good person.

When the Government enforces Shariah Law on its society, I believe the country itself holds firm laws and thus human beings wouldn’t have a “choice” to do things which they desire. The main concept of the human life is that we all make mistakes, and at one point in our lives we all steal, lie, and commit sins. Human beings are not perfect and I truthfully believe everyone deserves a second chance.

Islam is a complete way of life. The Islamic system is balanced and places everything in its right place. The Islamic law is complete and perfect, and covers all aspects of human life. Shariah is permanent for all of mankind. It does not change with time and conditions. For example, drinking wine and gambling is not allowed within Islamic Law. No one can change this; it is law that is valid for all time and for all places. Allah (Swt) is All-Knowing and All-Powerful. He is the most Wise. His laws are the finest and beneficial for all of mankind.

I believe that the government should not implement Shariah Law on citizens, but citizens should implement Shariah Law on themselves. As I stated before, Islam is the absolute way of life. You are correct; why should the government force us to do something we wish not to do? I believe we have free will; we can do as we desire. Muslims can implement the Shariah Law upon themselves, if they wish to abide by God’s laws. And it is stated in the Quran that there is no compulsion in religion!

~We have freedom of speech, we can protest and our voices should be heard!
